California is the high for arrest for prostitution in United States which it’s illegal anywhere to do this profession.  The reason why it’s illegal in California and other states except Nevada is because profession is seen as a negative act upon society seen as a slut, whore, hoe, thot discussing, no self respect etc. all seen as something negative except the customers that pay them for a fun time and get pleasured. Why is the government and  laws telling you can’t do anything with my body, but there’s reasons.

According to the surveys, from late 2014 to August 2015, 48 percent of prostitutes who had been interrogated by the police consistently used condoms, compared with 68 percent of those who had not been questioned. And while 76 percent of those with no encounters with the police said they always carried condoms, 48 percent who had previously been interrogated said they consistently carried them. This quotes mean that the majority of the sex worker use protection so that way they don’t have to worry about so much about the side effects. Looking this, this is not true in many places if you speak in the reality.

According to the article, the operation would start in Mexico, where traffickers worked to isolate victims from their families and subjected them to physical and sexual abuse. Often kept in locked apartments, their communication monitored, the women would be forced into prostitution to help traffickers repay a debt, the authorities said. They typically worked in the Mexico City neighborhood La Merced, forced to see as many as 20 to 40 customers a day. The significance of this quote is that if this need to finish for the community the people need to step into to the issue to solve, otherwise everyday young and old women will be affected by the prosecuted.

It stated your human rights around prostitution and the difference between child prostitution in comparison to adults. This site was a very helpful site that informed me on the legal works around prostitution and the differences between different places and ages. It was not only about one subject it branched out to a series of laws and circumstances around the whole subject. Not just one subject about prostitution. Prostitution Law and the Death of Whores. The Independent. (2006) A brief history of brothels

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/this-britain/a-brief-history-of-brothels-5336946.html

This article summarized the importance of Brothels and what they stand for which is a house where women went to have sex with men historically. Now prostitutes do it anywhere mainly hotels and motels, but back then they had actual place for it all to happen which was the brothel. For a period of time the government actually wanted to get taxed on the brothel houses, but it is not clear why it did not go through.

This source was really useful, it gave me a lot of background on the brothels. It explained how the brothels contributed to prostitution. It was well organized, it did not give out too much information to where it was boring but just enough to actual gain a piece a knowledge from it .

This means that it’s still going and destroying young women’s life. As a result, that happened recently and even the police officer so how this is going to fix in the reality.

Translated by L. W. King, Hammurabi’s Code of Laws.

http://prostitution.procon.org/sourcefiles/Hammurabi.pdf

This article was based upon Hammurabi’s code, although Hammurabi had a lot of codes there were direct ones about prostitutes. Back then in this article prostitutes are exploited to be known as women who were not married and was sleeping with different men. Its explains that women who were not married were not allowed to own property. They were not looked at like regular equal women. This article was very helpful because It was typically not about prostitution. It was a list of all of Hammurabi’s codes and it was interesting because who knew that there were laws for women so far back in time about them having sexual accounts without being married. It was very informative overall, I was learning stuff I was not even looking for.
